Dear Parents of the Pfadfinder*innenbund Nord,
As the board of our association, we would like to make a clear and unambiguous statement against racism. Our community is characterized by diversity and mutual respect, and it is our responsibility to create an environment in which every member feels safe and valued.
Following an incident upon arrival at our federal trip in May 2024 at Moorweide (Dammtor station), we as the board of our youth association would like to address you directly.
It is regrettable that a racist incident involving parents has occurred and we condemn such behavior in the strongest terms.
This stance of ours applies not only to the past but also to the future, and we reserve the right to intervene again in case of repeated incidents.
Racism in any form is not only a violation of human dignity but also an attack on the fundamental values that we as an association stand for. We do not tolerate discriminatory actions or statements and actively work to combat prejudice and intolerance.
Racism has no place in our community. Our principles are based on respect, equality, and peaceful coexistence of all members, regardless of origin, skin color, or religion. The incident is unacceptable and contradicts everything our association stands for.
Our youth work should reflect the diversity of our community and give every child the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive and respectful environment.
We ask you, dear parents, to support us in this endeavor. Talk to your children about the importance of respect and tolerance, and encourage them to stand up against injustice and discrimination. Together, we can build a community that stands for openness, diversity, and justice.
Sincerely,
The Leadership of the Pfadfinder*innenbund Nord
