A short info on dealing with gender and gender diversity in the PBN:
For many years, the tribes of the Pfadfinder*innen Bund Nord have been divided into the binary* genders. This means that there have always been girls‘ and boys’ tribes. Within the tribes, the groups and fellowships were also gender-homogeneous*. For some time now, we have been looking at which structures make the most sense for youth work and how we can offer connection and representation to all members, regardless of gender.
With the following markings here on the website we want to make visible in which tribes who is represented. So if you are looking for a group or clan, the labels can help you to see where you would like to go.
If this has left you with a big question mark or if you are interested in further material on gender diversity, please contact the tribes or our education officer: info@pbn.de
*binary = two-part understanding of gender (man and woman and boy and girl)
