English Version Letter to Partens (eFZ)

04.07.2025

Hello, this letter is addressed to all parents of a group in the PBN

We are contacting you on behalf of the Prevention and Intervention Crew (PInC) and the federal management of the Pfadfinder*innenbund Nord (PBN). Your child is part of a group or clan with us in the tribes and we would therefore like to inform you of the following.

Despite several requests and the signed self-commitment, the group leader has not fulfilled their obligation to submit the extended certificate of conduct (eFZ) required by us.

In the Pfadfinder*innenbund Nord, every group leader, regardless of age and every person over the age of 18, is obliged to present their extended certificate of conduct (eFZ) to the federal management by the federal trip (Bundesfahrt) of the respective year at the latest. This measure is one of the preventative measures for child protection in the PBN and is therefore unavoidable.

The group clan leader of your child did not manage to present the eFZ before the federal trip and then signed a so-called voluntary commitment before the national trip, which contains a step-by-step plan. The group clan leader has signed to submit their eFZ by 4 July 2025 and has also been informed what will happen if this deadline is not met. From 4 July 2025, all parents of the group will be informed about the status, the group clan leadership now has another month, i.e. until 4 August.

If this obligation is still not fulfilled, we will unfortunately have to exclude the group-leader from the Scout Association (PBN) until further notice. The group-leader is welcome to become part of the structure of the PBN again after a discussion and the submission of the eFZ.

As 04.08.2025 is during the summer holidays, and therefore in the period of the big trip (Großfahrten), we must appeal to you as parents at this point to decide whether you want to send your child on the big trip, even if the group-leader has not yet handed in their eFZ before the start of the big trip.

If you have any further questions or comments, please contact the tribal leadership of the respective tribe in the first step and otherwise contact the federal leadership: info@pbn.de or the PInC: pinc@pbn.de
